With COVID19 restrictions lifting most fencers are looking forward to a return to training, and we have received a number of questions about how and when clubs should do this.

There is no simple answer to the question, however we have several suggestions.

COVIDSAFE Coaching

This online course has been developed for Australian coaches across all sports, and provides information on conducting your sport of choice in a safe, protected environment.

More information can be found at:

OPEN LEARNING COVIDSAFE COACHING

In addition to the course clubs should of course consider their policies around infection control, shared equipment, social distancing, etc.

State Specific Resources

Each state has its own approach to returning to training. The links below should provide guidelines to individual clubs, and we encourage all coaches and club-runners to keep themselves up to date on their individual state requirements.

QUEENSLAND

NEW SOUTH WALES

VICTORIA

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

TASMANIA

Venue Specific Instructions

Even with the restrictions easing your regular club venue may still be closed. Even if you are a keyholder for the premises we recommend contacting the owners to ensure you are cleared to resume training in that venue.
