SCHOLAR VICTORIA
Scholar Victoria is a Melbourne based non-profit community organisation working to promote historical fencing as a martial art and modern sport, and we welcome everyone to take part, no matter their previous experience, level of fitness, or background.
We focus on the Longsword as it was used in the 15th and 16th century German sources, as well as 16th century sidesword and 19th century sabre.

THE SCHOOL OF HISTORICAL FENCING
Here at the School of Historical Fencing in Melbourne, we teach adults and children according to the Italian traditions of knightly combat, dueling/street fighting, and ‘keeping the youth occupied’. If you’re already familiar with HEMA, you might be keen on learning Fiore, Italian rapier, Bolognese/sword and buckler/swashbuckling, and Destreza. We also regularly run short courses on other topics of interest.

Glen Lachlann Estate College of Arms (GLECA)
We are the Glen Lachlann Estate College of Arms (or GLECA for short) a fully accredited Western Martial Arts college with branches based in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia and Malta. We teach a blend of traditional Western Martial Arts and modern sports science biomechanics.
Glen Lachlann teaches a wholistic style of combat, where students are taught to fight in a supported martial environment with a variety of weapons including longsword and single-handed sword, but also with unarmed, cane and improvised weapon techniques.

Welcome to VHCA, the Victorian Historical Combat Academy, a Melbourne-based Historical European Martial Arts School teaching students 19th Century sabre, bayonet, la canne and other Victorian-era fighting styles in a safe and friendly environment.
The school uses modern equipment and teaching methods to deliver a curriculum based on primary historical sources from the 19th century.
